Xaver wurde auf einem neu gebauten Hammerklavier von der Japanerin Chie
Hirai, einer ausgezeichneten Spezialistin, mit klarem und leicht perlendem
Spiel in bester Harmonie mit dem Orchester, mit musikantischem Gespür
und mit Virtuosität ohne jeden Selbstzweck anschaulich vermittelt.

".....The grand E-flat major piano concerto of grandson Franz Xaver
was performed on a newly built fortepiano by japanese Chie Hirai - a
distinguished specialist on this instrument - with not only transparent
and pearly playing, but also with conveying ease and virtuosity without any hint
of vanity. Hirai was musically intuitive and always in the best possible
understanding with the orchestra. ....."

"Musical Adventure"
..... Franz Xaver Mozart's grand concerto in E-flat Major for fortepiano
and orchestra is an original piece at stylistic crossroads: while the orchestra
part is still based on classical roots the piano breaks through it with
romantic playfulness.
Pianist Chie Hirai delivers it brilliantly playing with a tender fairy-like manner. .....

"Mozart mal drei im Strudengau"
.....Des letzteren "Grand Concert Es-dur fuer Hammerklavier und Orchester
Op.25" brachte in Gestalt der grandios aufspielenden Solistin Chie
Hirai am historischen Hammerfluegel (extra aus Privatbesitz zur Verfuegung
gestellt) den Hoehepunkt des Abends mit vielen ueberraschenden Effekten.

.....Bringing to life the "Grand Concert Es-Dur fur Hammerklavier und Orchester op.25" was Chie Hirai, wonderfully and impressively playing on a historic fortepiano by courtesy of a private owner.
The many surprising effects created on this instrument made the climax
of the evening. .....
